GENERAL
GAME INFORMATION
¥
Number of players:
Each team will place 4 players on
the field; (3 field players and 1 goalie.)
¥
A number 4-size ball will
be used in all games.
¥
Length of games:
Each game will be 40 minutes, consisting of two 20-minute halves.
Games will be played with a running
clock. The clock will stop only at the referee’s discretion
because of player injury.
¥
The size of the field is
40 yds by 25 yds.
¥
Every player must wear
shin guards. No exceptions.
¥
Each team will occupy
opposite sidelines.
¥
Prior to each game, a
designated player(s) from each team will meet at midfield for a coin
toss. The winner will decide either to accept first possession of
the ball OR to defend a particular side of the field.
¥
All games must start on
time and end 5 minutes before the hour.
GAME RULES
¥
KICK-OFF: The kick-off (first kick) from midfield must be in the forward
direction. The player who kicks off cannot touch the ball again
until it is touched by any other player (i.e., the player cannot pass to
himself on the kick-off).
¥
THROW-IN:
Players must have both feet on the ground, outside the playing field and
both hands must be overhead. Players will be given 1 chance for a
throw-in during the Spring Season.
¥
OFF-SIDES INFRACTIONS:
No offsides is called

¥ GOAL KICKS:A goal kick will be called when the ball is last touched by an OFFENSIVE
player, crosses the end line and leaves the playing field.The
ball will be placed at the top line of the penalty area and the
defensive team will be awarded the goal kick from that point.( The ball
must leave the box before being played)
¥
CORNER KICKS:
A corner kick will be called when the ball is last touched by a
DEFENSIVE player (including the goalie), crosses the end line and leaves
the playing field. The ball will be placed at the corner nearest
the point where the ball left the playing field and the offensive team
will be awarded the corner kick from that point.
¥
INDIRECT KICKS:
An indirect kick will be called when a player commits a foul (i.e.,
tripping, pushing, hand-ball) outside the penalty area. The
team against which the foul was committed will be awarded the indirect
kick.
In instances where a penalty kick
would normally be called (i.e., handball inside the penalty
area), a corner kick will be awarded instead. The team against
which the foul was committed will be awarded the corner kick.

Fall: 3 field players (no keeper), no player can use their hands
Spring: 3 field players, 1 of which is a sweeper keeper. This
player can use their hands to pick up the ball in front of their goal.
Please encourage the player not to stand in the goal at all times.

A number 3-size ball will
be used in all games.
¥
Length of games:
Each game will be 40 minutes, consisting of two 20-minute halves and a
10-minute halftime. Games will be played with a running clock. The
coaches are responsible for keeping track of the time.
¥
The size of the field is
20 yds by 10 yds.
¥
Each team will occupy
opposite sidelines.
¥
All games must start on
time and end 5 minutes before the hour.
GAME RULES
¥
The ball is rolled into
the center of the field to start play at the beginning of games, after
halftime, and after a goal is scored.
¥
No throw-ins, no corner
kick, or goal kicks.
¥
Whenever possible the
coaches should patrol the sidelines and try and keep the ball in play.
¥
Substitutions should be
made during a dead ball timeout (after a goal).
¥
